- CAN YOU DIG IT: THE 70’S SOUL EXPERIENCE: DISC 5: 2001: 4 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Ok the first four discs of this set were all no thinking about it 5 star discs- as the box set nears its end with discs 5 and 6 the decline kind of sits in- the box set goes in chronological order and the mid to late 70’s while still good doesn’t match the early 70’s soul singles in my opinion- disco is arriving. Favorites here- Side Show-Blue Magic/ Tell Me Something Good-Rufus/ Everlasting Love- Carl Carlton/ When Will I See You Again- The Three Degrees/ Pick Up The Pieces- AWB/ Lady Marmalade-LaBelle/ Love Won’t Let Me Wait- Major Harris.

- ELVIS COSTELLO: LOOK NOW: 2018: 4 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Am liking this album more and more with repeated listens. Some outstanding songwriting going on here- Elvis is back.

- CAN YOU DIG IT? THE 70’S SOUL EXPERIENCE: DISC 6: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Favorites on the final disc of the box set- Shining Star- Earth, Wind and Fire/ Cut The Cake- AWB/ Why Can’t We Be Friends? -War/ It Only Takes A Minute- Tavares/ Crusin’ – Smokey Robinson/ You and I- Rick James/ Strawberry Letter 23- Brothers Johnson/ You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine- Lou Rawls.

- BOB DYLAN: TEMPEST: 2012: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Dylan’s to this point final studio album of original songs- also his darkest album. The other night in concert he played 5 of the 10 songs on the album- and thankfully didn’t play the marathon songs about The Titanic or John Lennon- the two weakest songs on the album in my opinion- not bad songs but they go on far too long. It has now been six years since a last album of Dylan originals- is this the last one? With Dylan I wouldn’t bet a dime either way- you just never know.
