It was fifty years ago today- September 4, 1968 The Beatles appeared at Twickenham Film Studios for a live recording of their new single Hey Jude on the television show Frost On Sunday- with host David Frost.  Apple artist Mary Hopkin would also appear singing her new Apple Records single- Those Were The Days. Both Hey Jude and Those Were The Day’s would shoot to #1 and dominate the charts for the upcoming months. The performances would be shown on September 8th.

  1. I’m so glad they did and we have a film segment on it. I wish they would have done more of these spots…even for just television.
