It was fifty years ago today- August 22, 1968- Cynthia Lennon sued her husband Beatle John Lennon for divorce on grounds of adultery with Yoko Ono. John did not contest it. The Lennon’s had been almost six years to the day- August 23, 1962 and had one son- Julian. She died at the age of 75 in 2015.

From what I’ve read of her she was a first rate mother. She really took care of Julian well.
Of all the people in The Beatles story- she has to be a contender at least for the worst treated.
I agree totally. It’s not that John divorced her but the way he did it and everything else…
He didn’t let it rest. As we discussed before- it was all for Yoko- reassure her- throw Cyn under the bus… I have always felt sorry for her. I think she handled it all better than a lot of people would have.
More reminders of Yoko’s cruelty. My heart literally breaks for Julian and Cynthia.
