- BOB DYLAN: NEW MORNING: 1970: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Just 4 months after his controversial double album “Self- Portrait”- Dylan released New Morning- an album full of Dylan originals. Winterlude, If Not For You, Day Of The Locusts, If Dogs Run Free, The Man In Me and New Morning are standout tracks. A very good Dylan album but far from a great Dylan album.

- ELVIS PRESLEY: NBC-TV 1968 SPECIAL: 1968: 4 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: One more listen to this one. If only he had stayed with wearing the suits- avoided Vegas and the silly looking jump suit and cape and told Colonel Parker where he could go.

- VAN MORRISON: COMMON ONE: 1980: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Van has called this his favorite album that he has done. I don’t know about that but its a good album- only six songs- some really long ones- two songs last over 15 minutes. Best song on the album Summertime In England.
