Many assumed the song was another drug song but it wasn’t. Paul said “This is just about the hole in the road where the rain gets in, a good old analogy, the hole in your makeup which lets the rain in and stops your mind from going where it will… it’s about fans too.. Paul McCartney: double-tracked vocal, lead guitar and bass guitar/ John Lennon: backing vocal/ George Harrison: backing vocal/ Ringo Starr: drums and maracas/ George Martin: harpsichord. The song was recorded on February 9th and 21st, 1967 at Abbey Road. Producer: George Martin.
