- THE BAND: CAHOOTS: 1971: 3 STARS: The Band’s fourth album in four years- maybe a year off would have done them well. Not a terrible album but it doesn’t match the standards they have set. Favorite songs- Life Is A Carnival, When I Paint My Masterpiece [ a Bob Dylan cover} 4% Pantomime [ written by Robbie Robertson and Van The Man Morrison} and The Moon Struck One…. One of the songs titles is Where Do We Go From Here?

- THE ROLLING STONES: A BIGGER BANG: 2005: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: One of the better Stones albums since Some Girls. What would happen if say this year the Stones got together and decided to really put it together one more time-pour everything into it and release a great album. How would it do? Would it be recognized as such? Would it have hit singles? Or would it be generally ignored by the radio?

- PAUL SIMON: SO BEAUTIFUL OR SO WHAT: 2011: 4 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Simon’s best album this century. The Afterlife, Dazzling Blue, Rewrite, Questions For The Angels, So Beautiful Or So What- my favorites on this album which doesn’t have a clinker on it.
On Cahoots, I like Life is a Carnival… A Bigger Bang – Rough Justice…I saw them at Churchill Downs on that tour…
I think it might be ignored now. Too new for classic rock radio stations and not pop enough current radio. I could be wrong (I hope I would be) but the tour would get more press than the album. I hope I’m proven wrong if they release something.
