The Beatles Song Of The Day is “I Need You” from The Beatles 1965 album “Help!” “I Need You” was written by George Harrison for Patti Boyd from whom he was separated from at the time of the filming of “Help!” The song would also be performed in the movie. It was one of two Beatles songs that George didn’t comment on in his 1980 book “I Me Mine” This song was also the first use of a wah-wah pedal to distort the guitar sound. John Lennon: harmony vocal and acoustin rhythm guitar/ Paul McCartney: harmony vocal and bass guitar/ George Harrison: double-tracked vocal and lead guitar/ Ringo Starr: drums and cowbell. The song was recorded on February 15th and 16th, 1965 at Abbey Road. Producer: George Martin.
