- THE CLASH: LONDON CALLING: 1979: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: The Clash’s best album- one of my Top 10 albums of all-time. It was released in mid-December 1979- closing in on forty years ago- and there has been no album by anyone released since that is higher on my favorite albums list.

- VAN MORRISON: VEEDON FLEECE: 1974: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: The closest Van has ever come to another Astral Weeks type -steam of consciousness album. I don’t think I have ever heard any song from this album on the radio- ever. Great album though not a bad cut on it. Like Astral Weeks I remember it took repeated listenings to sink in but once it did it just kept sounding better and better.
On Veedon Fleece my favorite is “Bulbs”…great album…
Train in Vain was my introduction to The Clash.
