The song sung by George Harrison was recorded on just one take. Carl Perkins original was released in 1958. The Beatles were big Carl Perkins fans, especially George. The song was part of The Beatles live repertoire in 1961-62 and then again in 1965-65. It would be replaced in 1965 in concert by “If I Needed Someone”-which would become the George song in concerts.
