The Beatles Song Of The Day: “Eight Days A Week”

  1. Always liked the intro to that song, which was one of the first Beatles tunes I learned how to play with the guitar. I was really blessed with a great guitar teacher, who not only was a Beatles fan himself but also knew how to keep things interesting to continue motivating me to practice the classic guitar. Perhaps not surprisingly, I’m very fond of the song.

    • It was really my guitar teacher, who introduced me more broadly to The Beatles. He was also a bassist and taught me the basics for that instrument as well. Without him I likely wouldn’t have ended up playing in a band in my early 20s. I’m very grateful for all of that and wish I could tell him. Unfortunately, I completely lost touch and don’t know his whereabouts.
