The Beatles Song Of The Day is “I Feel Fine.” “I Feel Fine” was released as a single in the United Kingdom on November 27th, 1964 and in the United States on November 23rd, 1964. It can be found now on The Beatles Past Masters Volume I. I view “I Feel Fine” as a turning point. If you have The Beatles recording career divided into three parts- the Early Period/ Middle Period/ Later Beatles, I think “I Feel Fine” is the first song in The Beatles middle period [which is my favourite ] The signs of changes to come were evident in the songs/songwriting of The Beatles third album “A Hard Day’s Night” but to me the change into another period starts with this single. “I Feel Fine” went to #1 in both the United Kingdom and the United States.   1. This is definitely among my favorite Beatles tunes – I just love the guitar riff! As a guitarist, I can also tell you it is not as easy to play in a clean way as it may sound.

    Also, interesting observation about the feedback. It never occurred to me this is one of the earliest examples the effect was used in pop music.

    The tune would have been a great addition to “Beatles For Sale.” Of course, there are numerous other examples that make you wonder why The Beatles didn’t include them on any of their regular studio albums.

    • I agree- it would have been a great addition to Beatles For Sale- which while I like- had too many covers.
