The Cincinnati Bengals have failed to make the playoffs the past two seasons- finishing both seasons with losing records- 6-9-1 and 7-9. HC Marvin Lewis though keeps his job no matter how under performing his Bengals go. In 15 seasons as head coach the Bengals are still waiting for their first playoff win under Lewis. How he keeps his job boggles many minds. This team is known for it’s lack of discipline. If you have a criminal record you  are welcome in Cincinnati. As long as the Brown family owns this team I don’t see great things happening with the Bengals. The last time Mike Brown opened his wallet reportedly a bat flew out. Maybe that is how Marvin Lewis keeps his job- does he work for food?

The Bengals have a number of needs going into the draft at- cornerback, the offensive line, running back, quarterback and linebacker. They had a disappointing season but are drafting at #21.

With the 21st pick in the 2018 NFL draft- the Cincinnati Bengals select CB Mike Hughes 5’10” 189 4.53 in the 40 out of Central Florida. Pac-Man Jones has been left go- they need help in the defensive backfield and some teams rank Hughes as the top corner in the draft. He has great ball skills and coverage skills. He is also a dynamite return man returning two kicks for touchdowns last season. He had 4 interceptions, 11 breakups, 1 fumble recovery and he’s not afraid to tackle- having 49 tackles on the season. Maybe the most important check for the Bengals though is he has had past off the field issues- the Bengals have to have this guy.
