The Beatles Song Of The Day “A Taste Of Honey”

The Beatles Song of the Day is “A Taste Of Honey.” “A Taste of Honey” is on The Beatles debut album “Please Please Me.” It is the 5th song on side 2. The song was taken from the theme music of the film “A Taste of Honey.” John Lennon: rhythm guitar and harmony vocal/ Paul McCartney: bass guitar and lead vocal/ George Harrison: lead guitar and harmony vocal/ Ringo Starr: drums. The song was written by Ric Marlow and Bobby Scott. It was recorded at Abbey Road on February 11th, 1963. Producer: George Martin. This song was part of The Beatles concerts in 1962 and 1963. This is album filler. With The Beatles first album they didn’t have enough material of their own yet to fill the album. Paul’s singing is fine but there is nothing special or memorable about this song.

One response to “The Beatles Song Of The Day “A Taste Of Honey”

  1. I’ve always enjoyed their version of this song, as well as the fact that they included it in those drunken, sometimes violent marathon sets they did in Hamburg “before they was,” to quote the neighbor lady on “Help!”
