• BILL MONROE AND HIS BLUEGRASS BOYS: ANTHOLOGY: 2003: DISC 1: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. 25 songs on each disc- a great gateway drug into Bill Monroe- but you should want to dig further. When ever I listen to Bill Monroe it brings back memories of my father- Monroe was his favorite. A big regret as far as a concert I passed on- Bill Monroe in the late 1980’s- I was tired that evening and figured – I will see Ol’ Bill next time. There wasn’t a next time. The father of Bluegrass.
