  • FLOGGING MOLLY: SWAGGER:2000: 4 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: The strong debut of the Celtic punk group. Has a good blend of aggressive punk songs and ballads. Seems like Dropkick Murphys get a lot more love than these guys but I prefer listening to Flogging Molly. Highlights here-Salty Dog, The Worst Day Since Yesterday, Selfish Man.. pretty much everything.
  • FLOGGING MOLLY: SPEED OF DARKNESS: 2011: 3 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Not a bad album but seems to lack some of the spark of earlier efforts. Saints and Sinners, The Cradle of Humankind, Revolution and The Heart of The Sea are standouts.
  • ROSANNE CASH: RULES OF TRAVEL: 2003: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: This was Rosanne Cash’s return after a hiatus due to health issues. Her famous father who would make one of his last appearances before his death on this album and Steve Earle also makes an appearance- although the songs both of them are on- are not highlights on this album.
  • STEEL WHEELS: RED WING: 2010: 4 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Americana group- this is their best sounding record up to that time-and their best collection of songs. Red Wing, Long Way To Go,Walk This Way For Awhile. Take A Picture, Lose Your Soul among the best tracks.
  • STEEL WHEELS: LAY DOWN, LAW LOW: 2012: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. Another gem from The Steel Wheels. As good as their albums are they are even better in concert. Breaking Like The Sun, Rain In The Valley, Halfway To Heaven, Endure are among the standout songs.
