Willie Mays- maybe the greatest baseball player I have ever seen- sadly he was in his declining years when I got of age to see him play. I wish I had seen him in his prime. Mays has to be in the discussion of- Who is the greatest all around player to play the game. I would have to go with Babe Ruth as the GOAT- but Mays just may be #2 behind The Bambino.  I can’t believe Willie will be turning 86 this coming Saturday.

I got this t-shirt many years ago on a trip to a ballgame at Wrigley Field. There was – and it may still be there- a huge souvenir store across the street from Wrigley. Bought me a Willie Mays, Ted Williams, Roberto Clemente and Henry Aaron t-shirts of this type.
