On this day in 1945 those kooky newlyweds Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun, married a day earlier commit suicide in the Fuhrer’s bunker in Berlin, Germany. I can’t imagine what it was like to have lived in those times. Imagine in a period of less than a month- April  12th, 1945, President Franklin Roosevelt dies after 12 years as president and a relative unknown to the American public- Vice President Harry Truman takes over. April 28th in Italy II Duce, Benito Mussolini and his mistress is captured and killed. April 30th-the end is near for Nazi Germany and Hitler to avoid capture by the Russians commits suicide. May 7- 8th Nazi Germany surrenders ending the war in Europe.
