- BILLIE HOLIDAY: KEN BURNS JAZZ: 2000. 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS.
- FRANK SINATRA: SONGS FOR SWINGIN’ LOVERS: 1956. 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. Another Sinatra concept album from his Capital years. He’s in his prime.
- CAT STEVENS: TEA FOR THE TILLERMAN: 1970. 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. Cat Stevens first hit album. I think he is often overlooked when they discuss the great singer-songwriters of the 1970’s.
- THE WHO: WHO’S NEXT: 1971. 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS. Easily makes the cut on my Top 25 favorite albums of all-time list. “Tommy” is more acclaimed but “Who’s Next’ is the finest album of The Who’s career.
agree here. everyone knows ‘tommy’ – who’s next is by far the better album
