The first time I was old enough to vote in a presidential election was 1980 and over the years I have voted now in ten presidential elections [that fact is making me feel old now that I think about it} whether I am enthused about a candidate or not. I can honestly say the only times I’ve went to vote and was happy with who I was voting for was Dutch Reagan in 1980 and 1984.
I really don’t understand the partisanship that goes in recent years. It feels like more and more people are more concerned with their political party winning than the welfare of the country. Again, I am not taking sides, I am not a fan of either party in recent times.
I have hundreds of t-shirts and the ones that get the most comments are the Robert Johnson t-shirt I featured a couple weeks ago and the Ronald Reagan t-shirt from above. I know everyone out there isn’t a fan of his and that is fine, I am sure people see the shirt and just keep their comments to themselves but if I wear a Reagan t-shirt it gets a lot of ” I wish he were here today” and “Reagan was my favorite president.” type comments. And I’ve had the t-shirts since the early 2000’s- the comments have come during both the Dubya Bush and Barry Obama administrations.
