
In his book 31 Songs, Nick Hornby described Suicide’s 1977 “Frankie Teardrop” as a song you’d only listen to once. Pitchfork described it as “Taxi Driver: The Musical. The Boss Bruce Springsteen cites it as an inspiration for his landmark album “Nebraska.” This is certainly a song that no one I would hope would have in serious rotation but it is worth listening to at least once. I challenge you to listen to all 10 minutes and 26 seconds- at least once.
