Pittsburgh Pirates Slugger Willie Stargell Has A Career Day-This Day 1968

On this day in 1968 Pittsburgh Pirates slugger and Hans Postcards all-time favourite baseball player Willie Stargell hit three home runs and just misses hitting a fourth during a 13-6 Pirates victory over the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Stargell also hit a single and a double. The double he hit bounced off the railing of the left field fence and back into the playing field-just missing a 4th home run that afternoon.
