J.Edgar Hoover Is Appointed Director Of The Federal Bureau Of Investigations-This Day 1924

File:Hoover-JEdgar-LOC.jpg

A dark day in American history. One this day in 1924 J. Edgar Hoover was appointed the Director of the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigations. He would remain in that office until his death in the spring of 1972. Hoover abused his power to epic degrees. A lot has come out [no pun intended] about Hoover’s activities while FBI director since his death. His reputation since his passing has taken a mighty hit.Hoover fooled a lot of people for a long time. How did one man stay in power that long? He became so powerful that even presidents feared him. He collected dirt on everyone and would threaten to use if on them. Presidents would plan on getting rid of Hoover but when it came down to it they didn’t follow through with it. One of the first things I would do if ever elected POTUS would be to remove the name of J.Edgar Hoover from the FBI Buiilding in Washington, D.C. [My first act would be the end of MTV, what garbage.} What a totally unattractive human being.
