Elvis sang more cover songs than most artists, but his version was always better than the original.
The boy sure could sing there is no question about that!!
I got to see Elvis sing in 1974 and in 1977. He was at the top of his game in 74′, but we saw him near the end of his life in 77′. He died three months after we saw him in Alexandria, Louisiana. Then we learned he had died in Memphis on the network news that August.
