The greatest athlete to wear #92 is Reggie White one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the National Football League.

Other notable #92’s- Michael Strahan who was a great defensive end for the New York Giants is a future Pro Football Hall of Famer. He gets the nod as the runner-up at this number. Michael Dean Perry and Ted Washington were both fine defensive linemen Jason Gildon had some fine years as a linebacker in Pittsburgh. Hockey’s Rick Tocchet was a fine player who wore #92 for a time during his career. None of these guys though seriously challenge Reggie White though.

Reggie White was the Minister of Defense. A 13 time Pro Bowler. 198.5 sacks in his career- second most all time. A team leader. Most consider him the greatest defensive end in the history of the NFL [although I tend to go with Deacon Jones as the GOAT}  2 time Defensive Player of the Year. A member of the all 1980’s and all 1990’s NFL teams. An easy selection as the greatest athlete to wear #92.
