It was recorded at Abbey Road. John and Paul wrote the song together. John Lennon: double tracked vocal, rhythm guitar, harmonica/ Paul McCartney: harmony vocal and bass guitar/ George Harrison: lead guitar and harmony vocal/ Ringo Starr: drums. Producer: George Martin. Both John and Paul would later say that the song was a knock off but its pretty good rock and roll for that period of time but the decision to go with “From Me To You” on the A-side of the single was a good one. “Thank You Girl” was written by John and Paul to their female fans.
