Keifer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland was born this day in 1966. He is best known as Jack Bauer in the hit television series ’24” one of my all time favourite television shows.

Keifer is the son of actor Donald Sutherland. He was born in London. His grandfather Tommy Douglas was a Canadian politician who is credited with giving Canada universal health care. Keifer has been in a number of movies over the years but I think when the career is over he will be best remembered for “24” which aired for 192 episodes and 8 seasons. It was a yearly tradition that Mrs. Postcard and I had a “24” Marathon each year. On New Year’s Eve we would get the DVD’s out and watch an entire season of “24” on New Years Eve/New Year’s Day. We finished up the final season last year. Right now we are unsure of what to do this year. So when I think of Keifer I tend to think “New Years” Loved “24” Thanks Jack…I mean Keifer.
