On this day in 2001 Beatle George Harrison died in Los Angeles at the age of 58 of lung cancer. Being a Beatle fanatic it was a very sad day. George Harrison was cremated and his ashes were scattered in India in the Ganges, Saraswati and Yamura Rivers. He left almost 100 million in his will.

Last year the Martin Scorsese directed documentary “George Harrison:Living In The Material World” was released. George was an interesting fellow indeed. I will write a more detailed profile of Beatle George on his birthday in a few months.
