Pro Football Hall of Fame Quarterback Steve Young turns 51 today. He played his first two years of pro football in the USFL with the Los Angeles Express, then spent two years with the lowly Tampa Bay Bucs who stupidly traded him to the San Francisco 49ers. Young would spend the next 13 years with the 49ers. He would lead them to the Super Bowl title in 1995. He had an odd career. Due to a guy named Joe Montana, Young didn’t become a regular starter until his 8th season and only played a full season 3 times in his 15 year career. Steve Young is the only left handed quarterback to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
