Chris Economaki- the Dean of American Motorsports has died at the age of 91. Economaki for years was a television commentator, pit road reporter and journalist. I remember him most from his coverage of the Indianapolis 500. He always seemed knowledgable and to the point. He reported the story, wasn’t the story.

met him in the 90s at the houston grand prix. super nice guy. sad to see him go; 91 is a full life.
I always liked his reporting. He always seemed like he knew what he was talking about. He appeared to be a pretty nice guy.. glad that he was!
