Former Green Bay Packer running back Jim Taylor is 77 today. Jim Taylor played with the Packers from 1958-66 and the New Orleans Saints in 1967. The great Jim Brown played 9 years in those 9 years he led the league in rushing in 8 of those years. The only year that someone else led the league was 1962 when Jim Taylor led the league.

When Jim Taylor retired only one running back had more rushing touchdowns in their career-Jim Brown. Jim Taylor was a 6 time All-Pro, he was a key player in the Green Bay Packer offense. He rushed for 8597 yards in his career, averaging 4.4 yards per carry. The Green Bay Packer backfield of Bart Starr-Paul Horning and Jim Taylor all in the Hall of Fame. Jim Taylor was the first NFL running back to again 1000 yards in 5 consecutive seasons. After being a member of the first Super Bowl Champion Packers he went to New Orleans to finish his career. {He played his college ball at LSU}
