Former Washington Redskins star Quarterback Joe Theismann turns 63 today. Theismann was a Super Bowl winning quarterback, a 2 time pro-bowler, he played 12 seasons in the NFL. He played quarterback at Notre Dame and finished second in the Heisman Award voting and is in the College Football Hall of Fame. He is most remembered for the most gruesome injury I’ve ever seen. During a Monday Night Football game the great Lawrence Taylor sacked Theismann breaking his leg and ending his career. I’ve seen a lot of football injuries but this is the worst looking.

Still painful to look at. I wonder if Theismann ever looked at the replay?
i do not think that he has. the kid from univ of houston that ran into the landscape cart a couple of years ago is on this same level.
