1. this area is like the tv studio – you think its much larger than it actually is. obviously the kennedy assassination changed a lot of things. i still find it amazing that lincoln and his wife used to ride around washington dc in an open carriage.

   • the security of the presidents up until the kennedy assassination was not all that great

2. i would agree with that. you would have thought that after the archduke was assassinated to facilitate wwi that there would have been a bit more precautions placed about the president.
