- SABOTEURS: DANCE WITH THE HUNTED: 2019: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Another suggestion from my Rock and Roll Doctor- Eclectic Music Lover- and on first listen another good one. Here is his review – I will need to listen more to get a better feel for it but I liked what I heard. Next up will be Billie Eilish. Here is Eclectic Music Lovers review-

- THE BEATLES: WITH THE BEATLES: 1963: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: One great thing did happen on November 22, 1963- this album was released.

- ELVIS PRESLEY: THE SUN SESSIONS: 1976: 5 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: If after making his recordings at Sun Studio Elvis had say quit music to become a minister and never recorded rock and roll again- these recordings would have lived on and would have become legendary. Elvis at his peak- and before he took over the world. The Holy Grail.

- BOB DYLAN: DYLAN: 1973: 1 STAR OUT OF 5 STARS: I would call this Dylan’s worst album but would he have willingly released this stuff? He left Columbia and they released this batch of leftovers- scraps.

- BOB DYLAN: PLANET WAVES: 1974: 4 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Dylan left Columbia for Asylum- this would be his only studio album at Asylum and its one of his more underrated albums in my opinion. Not great but pretty strong. My favorite song- and one of my favorite early 70’s Dylan tunes “Forever Young.”

- STEVE WINWOOD: STEVE WINWOOD: 1977: 2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: Winwood’s first solo album a disappointment.

- CHIC: RISQUE: 1979: 3 1/2 STARS OUT OF 5 STARS: I admit I do like some of Chic’s singles- and there were two hits on this- “Good Times” and “My Favorite Dancer” as an entire album I am not as big a fan as the critics were of the album.
Chic was another one that was all over my teen years.
Hans, Planet Waves is probably my favorite Dylan album. I know that’s saying a lot. Which version of Forever Young, fast or slow? Great cover art on The Saboteurs.
I like the slower version of Forever Young… Maybe its because it was the only studio album he did for Asylum- that it is largely forgotten?
I need to learn more about his history, why he switched labels when he did, etc. Why wouldn’t someone like him just create their own label, like The Beatles did?
Thanks for giving Saboteurs a listen, and for the mention. Glad you liked it Hans.
