I like poking fun at The Osmonds -but I missed Osmondmania in the early 70’s- and by the time I got into music in the mid 70’s they were off the charts and off the radio so I didn’t have to suffer much the radio stations I listened to didn’t have them on the playlist. Watching this video of ‘Double Lovin’- the first thing that comes to mind- a white much much less talented Jackson 5 wanna be act to sell to teenage girls. But they did have one great song- ‘Crazy Horses.’
They combined the worse of the Elvis looks to the worse of a souless boy band music…not a good combination.
The Osmonds were a pox on an otherwise great year for music.
there is always somebody- and in 1971 it was The Osmonds.
