Deep Tracks From 1971: ‘ Can You Hear Me Knocking’- The Rolling Stones. Earlier today I featured a song from The Who- Who’s Next album- another classic album from 1971 Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones is also filled with essential songs from a band who were in their prime at that moment in time. ‘Can You Hear Me Knocking’-is the longest song on the album at 7 minutes and 14 seconds. A great guitar song featuring of course Keith Richards- and Mick Taylor who made a big mark on The Stones music during his too brief of a stay with the band. Also appearing on the song-on organ is Billy Preston who had of course had played a couple years earlier with the hillbilly band out of Liverpool called The Beatles.
Hell yeah! Perfect for this sunny Sunday afternoon. I love me some Keith. Jagger-Richards what a duo!

(Prepare for inbound …!) π
One of my favorite tunes from my favorite Stones album! I think this live version from their 2015 vault release “Sticky Fingers Live At The Fonda Theatre” is even better!
One of my all time fave stones songs, just love that long guitar section especially.
I dig this song with Taylor and Keys.
