Yes even during their heyday in the 1970’s were never a big singles band. The only Top 40 hit they had before “Owner Of A Lonely Heart’ was ‘Roundabout’ #13 in 1972. They would have a couple more after this their biggest hit- the follow up ‘Leave It’- #24 , and in 1987 ” Love Will Find A Way” #30 and “Rhythm Of Love” #40. The video for “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” seemed to be on repeat on MTV in the winter of 83-84 and had to have a lot to do with the singles success. This was the first new #1 single of 1984- “Say Say Say’- had held over the first two weeks of the year from 1983.
