I remember this list, as I closely followed the charts back then. Lots of great songs on this list, tarnished only by the two Osmond clan klunkers.
Funny how a Neil imitator and Neil are #1 & #2.
Neil wasn’t happy about A Horse With No Name.
Great top 40 Hans… A lot of A+ songs. Mother and Child Reunion may be my favorite Paul Simon solo song.
A great survey except for the Osmonds as usual, bringing down the collective grade average. I will have to look up JB’s “King Heroin” that’s a new one on me.
It is JB reading an anti-heroin poem that someone wrote. Different.
Lots of decent music here. A mainstream chart like this one definitely is a matter of the past.
Love getting to read these charts! The names of the most of the songs are familiar, but not the bands. The Chakachas? The Dramatics? The Addrisi Brothers ? I am woefully uninformed….
they were the same with me too.
One of a very few Young songs I like. Did the singer from America sound like Young on purpose or did he just happen to sound like him, naturally?
they were trying their best to sound like Neil.
