A John Lennon song- here covered on the tour Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle did in 2016 backing the album they did together. I’ve seen/ heard Steve- a Beatles fanatic do the song in concert. I missed out on the Colvin/ Earle tour- I don’t think they came around here on that one.

One of my favorite songs by early Beatles. I admire anyone who tackles a Beatles song, as they can’t help but be compared to the original.
While based on the music I’ve hard to date I really like Steve Earle, I have to say I find this rendition a bit a underwhelming. It lacks dynamic and at times sounds a bit off to me.
Some folks may not fully appreciate how challenging it is to capture Beatles songs well. These guys really knew how to harmonize!
I like the ‘Baby’s In Black” i’ve heard him do in concert alone- better but couldn’t find it.
Steve can do no wrong with me. That would have been a good tour with Shawn.
