He would of course go on to cover other Beatles songs- including possibly the greatest Beatles cover of all- “With A Little Help From My Friends.”

While nothing will ever beat “With a Little Help From My Friends” when it comes to Joe Cocker, I’ve dug this cover from the get-go. I love the double bass – gives it a groove!
I’ve never heard Cocker’s vocals sound so smooth.
