Under The Covers- Other Artists Covering Beatles Songs: ‘ She Loves You.’ ‘She Loves You’ was the best selling Beatles single ever in the UK- and the biggest selling single in the 1960’s period there. It was of course a big hit everywhere in 1963-64. A few years later in 1966 Count Basie did a Beatles cover album called Basie’s Beatles Bag- [ in 1969 he would do a second Beatles cover album called Basie On The Beatles.] “She Loves You” was covered on that first album Basie’s Beatles Bag. The album received fine reviews will have to look this one up.

Basie was a great entertainer. Our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, Mary and I went to see him and Srah Vaughan. Great stuff!
