Rolling Stone has “I Will Survive” at #492 on their Greatest Songs Ever list and #2 on their Best Disco Songs Ever list. The song has become over the years a symbol of female empowerment.
I. Am. So. Sick. Of. This. Song.
This song got me through some very rough patches in my life. I still like to crank it up when I’m feeling down.
It’s great to have a ‘go to song” or go to artist- The Beatles of course have always been that to me- hard for me to listen to them and not feel better.
I like this song of empowerment, reminds me somewhat of I Am Woman in content. Cake did a slowed-down Cake-style version of it that’s pretty good.
