Rhythm Heritage was a disco-funk band. Their other hit was the theme for Baretta “Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow #20- sung by Sammy Davis Jr. “S.W.A.T.” was an action/ crime drama which ran for a couple seasons on ABC-TV in the mid-70’s. The single was more successful than the television show.

Wow, a D is pretty harsh. I like this one, and would give it a B. It has a bit of an Isaac Hayes feel to me, as it reminds me a bit of the Theme from ‘Shaft’, though admittedly not nearly as good.
I remember the tune & it being on radio but didn’ t know or remember it being a #1. Big era for instrumentals for 3 or 4 years there.
