They were a Scottish band formed in Dundee, Scotland. Danny Wilson only had two albums- “Mary’s Prayer” was a single from their debut album- Meet Danny Wilson. As a single “Mary’s Prayer” would be Danny Wilson’s only Top 40 hit in the US- peaking at #23. This is a song I always loved but hadn’t heard in many years.

I remember hearing that tune on the radio in Germany back in the ’80s – nice song.
I like the song quite a bit though I didn’t discover it until well into the ’90s when I got it on some ’80s compilation CD… I didn’t remember hearing it when it was new or a “hit”.
