A September of Demento: “King Tut”- Steve Martin And The Toot Uncommons. Steve Martin’s song about King Tut- went all the way to #17 and sold over a million copies back in 1978- and received a lot of airplay on Dr. Demento’s radio show. I still have a copy of the single myself.
