Creedence Clearwater Revival- was a rock band out of El Cerrito, California- headed by front man- John Fogerty. CCR never had a #1 hit- which is incredible. They had 5 reach #2 and “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” was one of those. From 1968-76 they had 20 Hot 100 singles with 17 making the Top 40.
one of my favorite childhood songs and, though the competition is strong, my favorite CCR tune.
I always love the reference to ” listening to Buck Owens.”
