Rare Earth was a rock band from Detroit City- one of the first white acts signed to Motown. They had 9 Hot 100 singles with 5 making the Top 40. Their biggest hit was #4 “Get Ready” 1970- which was also their first hit. I much prefer the Rod Stewart version of the song on Every Picture Tells A Story- over the Rare Earth version.
