Jose Feliciano was born in Laros, Puerto Rico in 1945 but grew up in Spanish Harlem, New York. He was blind at birth. He had 13 Hot 100 singles with 2 making the Top 40- his biggest hit being “Light My Fire” #3 in 1968- a remake of The Doors #1 hit from the year before.
