The Archies were a studio group created by Don Kirshner- based on the Saturday morning cartoon series. The singer was Ron Dante. They had 6 Hot 100 singles with 4 making the Top 40- their biggest of course the #1 “Sugar Sugar” in 1969.
The Archies had one tolerable song – ‘Sugar,Sugar’. The rest were mediocre fluff.
