The 1970’s would be very very good for Stevie Wonder. He was about to enter into his classic period. Was their a greater recording artist in the 1970’s? Born in 1950 as Steveland Morris in Saginaw, Michigan. Stevie a multi-instrumentalist/ producer and R&B singer -songwriter had early success with a #1 hit in 1963 at age 13. Overall in his career he would have 64 Hot 100 singles with 44 making the Top 40- 9 singles went to #1. Later in the 70’s Peter Frampton covered “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and took it to #18 in the charts.
