The Moments were an R&B vocal group formed by Sylvia “Pillow Talk” Robinson out of Hackensack, New Jersey. They had 11 Hot 100 singles from 1968-75 with three making the Top 40- “Love On A Two-Way Street” was their biggest hit. The group later became Ray, Goodman and Brown and had a big hit in 1980- “Special Lady” #5.
His voice could be easily mistaken for a woman’s voice. It’s old gold and a good one to slow dance to.
